Anyone going to the new PCGB campsite at Le Mans from the 964 fraternity?

It's my mates turn to drive this year in his 3.2, but I shall be there.

Anyone fancy a tyre kicking and/or getting drunk & falling over session or something?

We will be arriving Thursday evening, crossing via Eurotunnel Thursday morning.

Hope to be stopping in Gace (I think that's the right place) for late lunch to look at all the tasty cars parked up or driving past.

Bonjour,

I'm through the tunnel early Thursday morning (06.20 crossing) and then planning a gentle (ish) drive down. As a first timer to le Mans I'm rather making things up as I go along, but am looking forward to meeting up at the PCGB campsite or en-route if the opportunity arises.

BTW where or what is Gace ?

If you are new to Le Mans then this should help:

Gace (with an acute accent over the e) is a small town on the way down to Le Mans and a convenient lunch stop with lots of nice cars parked up in the town square and passing by.

I would be grateful if someone could confirm that it is Gace that I am thinking about, but I think I'm right.

Yep, Gace it is. I've been stopping off there for lunch on the way down for a number of years. Aim for the village centre and park in the square. Always Brits and their interesting motors dropping in and out for the same reason. Thoroughly recommend it.

Peel off the A13 after Rouen and take the D438 (plenty of right foot opportunities) all the way to Le Mans stopping at Gace for lunch.

I'll be there Thursday lunchtime in my grey C4 (very similar to your C2 Colin) but will stickered up a tad.

As mentioned previously, it's my mate's turn to drive this year in his 3.2. It will be stickered up with the number 60, which milestone he passed recently, if you see it give us a shout & I'll look out for you too.

Indeed, maybe see you there then..

Have a good drive down. Weather prediction is not great for then but let's see..

Noticed quite a few 964s on the PCGB campsite as well as at least 2 RS and the RS America (next door to us).

Great trip, despite not bringing my car and our Le Mans camping buddies being unable to make it this year.

Next year should be even better, hope I can make it...

I was in the black 964 RS replica on the site. It was a pleasure to see a good turn out of 964s and to
meet a few fellow owners:

Indeed. Had a good look round your replica - very nice.

I had my grey 964 C4 stickered up with 00 just down the site further into the woods of Beausajour. A good effort with lots of praise to the PCGB organisers. Looking forward already to next year.
