We are hop- ing to bring forward a number of other sponsors over the coming weeks. erected tents. For new and exciting updates regarding Village for 2011, visit the Lycian website regularly as this is where they will be announced!
Relish to Offer Half Board packages
To ensure that everyone is well catered for, as a joint venture with our caters Relish, we have decided to offer Half Board packages. These will be avail-
able by paying in advance which should represent a 12.5% saving than buying the meals at the event. It is also intended to extend the menu and we will still be offer- ing the packed lunches for those who wish
to order them. If there is enough demand we will also pro- vide a games area in the outside bar area. Please make your comments on the forum.
Lycian Website Launched
We are pleased to announce after weeks of frustration and many late nights we have finally launched our website, unfortunately this delayed the writing of last months On The Curves. We hope that you will like what we have done and value your feedback. Improve- ments to the Village can only be made by your involvement and we do hope that you make full use of the forum, so that we ensure that we capture your feedback.
2011 Le Mans 24 Hours Entries
The 79th Le Mans 24 Hour race has at- tracted a fabulous field. The most prestig- ious makes of cars and the most talented driv- ers will all gather on the 24 Hours circuit to do battle. Audi will hope to keep up their amazing record and take the victory away from Peu- geot. Aston Martin will be hoping that the change in regulations will favour them and that they will be in a position to compete for overall victory. Lotus make a return to sports car rac- ing after many years. Both Audi and Peugeot have announced new cars which although have been tested, have not turned a wheel in anger. Audi have taken the decision not to race the new R18 at Sebring .
WMacmillan 2011 Supported Charity e are pleased again to be supporting Macmillan Cancer Support as our chosen charity for
the second year. Last year we raised nearly £1000 and this year we hope to increase that total. In 2010 we were given a generous donation of a Driving Experi- ence day by Porsche. This year we were given a com- plete package for Le Mans which includes tent and breakfast. This raised over £800 at a charity ball and I am pleased to say that Mr Adrian Dearsley will be join- ing us at the Village having won his prize by entering the raffle. He is an extremely deserving winner having raised substantial sums for Macmillan over the years. If you want know more about the charity and the excellent work it does then please visit their website.
