Le Mans 2017

Have once again booked in to the Lycian/PCGB campsite at the Porsche Curves. [:)] Hoping for temperate weather (well, definitely not for heavy rain [8|]). Should be some good battles - Porsche/Toyota in LMP1 and for the various Porsches against a variety of marques back in LMGTE.

Anyone else from R10 due to be there, or at Le Mans for the race but staying elsewhere?

Hopefully a great race between Porsche and Toyota but a shame that Audi won't be contesting the event this year and will be interesting to see how the Ford GT's perform.

We have been many times in the past but are not attending this year, however we will be following the event on Radio Le Mans.....which reminds me how fortunate we were to have the pleasure of listening to John Hindhaugh at the R10 meet a few years ago.

Trust the weather is good.

When I was down there last (when Porsche took the championship), there was heatwave one day and torrential monsoon the next.
Always great fun, but does tend to have its own micro-climate down there [&:]... enjoy! [8D]

Hi Mike, there are a small group of us from region 5 together with some other friends travelling down to Portsmouth on the Wednesday evening in four Porsche's and a 135i ready to catch the Thursday morning fast ferry to Cherbourg and then make the shorter drive down to the Lycian Events, Village On The Curves. This is the second time that we have stayed with Lycian as well, do come and say hello if you see us.

Cheers Martin. I'm travelling down via the Tunnel on the Thursday, so should be there by the early evening. will look out for you guys. Have a safe trip down.

Hi Jonathan,

We (2x 991 C4S) are due on a tunnel crossing about 11, so may see you in the rest area beforehand. What colour McLaren should we look out for?
Mike

Hi John,
Assumed you'd be there again, but good to know for certain. Would be good to meet up / buy you a coffee when you're on a break. I'll email you when there to see if you're free.
Cheers
Mike
