As some of you will know, as well as my passion for all things Porsche, I am also a massive Le Mans and Classic Le Mans fan, having been attending one or the other of these fabulous race events since 2004. Over the last few years I have been lucky enough to take my own Porsche as well as my daughters Jemma and Sophie, where together we were able to witness Porsche’s last LMP1 victory together in 2018.
We were really excited and looking forward to attending the Classic Le Mans 24 this year, at the fabulous Village on the Curves with Joy, Stephen and their excellent team from Lycian Events, together with many of our friends from R5 and the 991 /2 registers. Sadly as you will all know, the event has had to be postponed until 2021 due to the dreadful Covid-19 pandemic.
So to cheer me up, Sophie has kindly produced a film of our trip to the 2019 race which I think really captures the spirit of our trip and the 24 hour race. I have attached a link to the film in case some of you might be interested to see it.
I hope that you enjoy the film and I am looking forward to heading to Le Sarthe with some of you for our annual pilgrimage in 2021.
Have a good weekend and stay safe.
