Marcus,
Taking the boys has added an extra dimension to an already brilliant weekend. Taking my tired son to Arnage, as it's getting dark, for the first time and seeing him gripped by the magic I felt the first time I went there is special. Get in touch when you're taking the girls. As you can imagine, we've been through quite a few 'experiences' with the kids over the years and I'll try to help if you (or more likely, mum) have any concerns. We try to alter our travel / accommodation arrangements each year, to keep it fresh and to make it a new adventure each time we go.
Courtesy of my brother's involvement with a hospitality and ticketing business that sponsors one of the teams, we're hoping to sneak into one of the pit garages for a short while at some stage. I say to my eldest that he's already done and seen things at Le Mans many grown-up fans only dream of doing, but he's too young to appreciate it.
I saw your post about child seats. I used a Britax Romer Prince seat for a while, but you have to fit an extended seat belt in the back of a 964 for them to work properly. If you're looking on Fleabay, be aware that Britax Romer made what I think is the same seat for many other manufacturers apart for Porsche (Merc, BMW, Peugeot, to name a few). For the last two years, I've used our Britax booster seat. It's not a perfect fit, but it's snug enough for us to feel that the seat belt is restraining him properly, and for his comfort. We've had it since the eldest was a toddler, and I can't find any model name or number on it!
Porsche Curves is usually one spot we drop in to for a while on Sunday morning, so I'll keep an eye out for you. The booster seat will be in the car in case you want to check it out. We've seen the campsite, but I've never dared attempt to wander in. The kids are always amused by that nearby forest of tiny tents for the Danish campers!!! Quite a contrast in comfort levels.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Paul
