Le Mans again!

So I'm heading down to the 24hrs again this year. Happy to share details of ferries etc. If other 26ers are driving down. Last year was phenomenal and, with Porsche entering 3 LMP1s and Nissan entering the fray, it's beginning to feel like the glory days of Group C all over again!
Let me know if you're interested in my travel itinerary.

All the best.

I've always wanted to go and with some diary space this could be it !!!
Definately interested cheers

Ok great.

Here are my travel plans. I'm driving down with my son, Fred and we would be happy to go in convoy, stop for lunch on the way etc. with 'like minded' Porsche owners....

Wednesday 10th June - Leave home (Bridport) c.06.00ish and drive to Portsmouth.

Board Brittany Ferries 'Normandie Express' 09:00 sailing to Cherbourg.

Arrive Cherbourg 13:00 (local time). Drive down to Le Mans with stop for lunch on the way (Venue TBA).

Pitch tent at Lycian's excellent camp site on the Porsche curves.

Return Monday 15th June on Brittany Ferries 'Normandie Express' 17:00 sailing to Portsmouth.

Leisurely drive back to Dorset....

I am, obviously, not banking on becoming a social secretary or organiser but would be delighted if members wish to join us on the trip. Otherwise hope to see there.

Best regards

Great. Thanks Geoff

I should add, for the uninitiated, the ferry crossing (always chock full of exotic cars) & the drive down & back is a really large part of the experience. Don't even think about flying!

Unfortunately I am working in Berlin so won't make the next couple of meetings but I'm back in April and will try and come to that one.

Best regards

Please do! I am off to Berlin in August so could do with picking your brains about that place too!

Tref.
