The Silverstone Round of this European series runs commences at 2.00 pm on Saturday 14th August. A number of R10 members have said that they will be going "" some are there the whole weekend as there are other GT and F3 races going on. Tickets are £15 on the gate "" or £13.50 in advance (www.silverstone-circuit.co.uk). Children 15 and under are free.

For those who want to travel in together, we will be setting off from OPC Silverstone on the A43 at 1.00 pm. Otherwise "" see you there amongst the crowd. Let's all hope for a dry evening.

Excellent [:D] I'd forgotten all about this.

Is it the 14th August though?

Yes, sorry - my typing error! Have now corrected posting above. Sorry for the confusion.

Woohoo [8D][:D][8D] Mrs Diver says as it's only 6 hours she is prepared to be dragged along and do her knitting in the grandstand whilst the little divers get a taste of what Daddy goes to see every June in a field in France.

I looked at the LMES website and the Monza race was won by only a few seconds after 6 hours racing [:)]

Mike,

Any chance we could get 'in-field' parking as a Club do you think?

Dave

Dave

I am investigating the possibility of infield parking, but given it is now late in the day and a rather impromptu event, not a major outing, I am not optimistic this time. However, I will keep on trying. Definitely an idea for next time.

Anyone who can't make the meeting point at OPC Silverstone (1.00pm Saturday), but wants to meet up in side the circuit, I will aim to be somewhere around the big grey bar/cafe next to the Silverstone shop on the in-field behind the paddock area at about 3.00pm - 3.15pm (assuming it is still there). If the weather is inclement, I am likely to huddled in there with a less-than-impressed wife, 3 yr old son and teenage nephew!!

You can always try my mobile (07710 564486) if the noise isn't too loud.

Otherwise, might see you on my wander round.

Have a good one....

Just about to set off...

We will be watching the Formula Palmer Audi Championship at 1PM, so hope to catch you sometime about 3:15

Mark

Sorry Mike (and others?)

We missed you. Set off to go to the infield and found the pedesrian bridge closed.
By the time we had walked round the other way it would have been well past 3:15...

Great 2 days racing though![:)]

The 3 - 3.15 rendezvous did not prove a great success - I guess the unexpected closure of the footbridge didn't help! Sorry if I missed you and others - I did meet/speak to several PCGB members over the afternoon. Looks like a popular choice for next year (assuming it runs again).

Anyway, as you said, an excellent day's racing - I hear they may change the rules to stop the Audi's winning in future (how often has that happened under ACO regulation?!).
