I have just booked the few days away for the Le
Mans 24. Any good routes to roust about on? Looking to do a few half days driving in between the racing but my last 15 years has been on two wheels and most of my trips were mainly east side if France and Europe, so my knowledge of Loire and west France is not the best!

Hi Peter, I'm doing something similar on the way back from Le Mans this year. Heading for Nantes area first, then a long route back to Calais via St Nazaire/La Baule area (superb beaches & amazing coastline), then towards Rennes, Caen, Rouen and Calais. I use the the Logis guide for areas I'm not sure about. Great accomodation, superb french food with exceptional prices. You can also check if they have secure parking etc. website www.logishotels.com they have a good section on Pays de la Loire...
All the best
