Ok so I appreciate that Le Mans doesn't feature on the R26 events Calendar this year but....

The first round of the World Endurance Championship, at Silverstone last week, was stunning. Please have a look at the thread n the 'General' section of the forum for some brilliant photos and comments about the race.

Take it from me, if you ever needed an incentive to get down to Le Sarthe for the 24hrs, Porsche entering the premier catagory for the first time in 20 odd years is it! Add to that - Mark Webber is driving one of them. Quite something to have so recent a regular Grand Prix winner driving a Porsche prototype.

For what it's worth, I'm driving down on Wednesday 11th June via the Portsmouth/CHerbourg 'fast' ferry & returning on Monday 16th. Camping at the Lycian site at the Porsche curves.

If any other R26ers would like to hook up for the journey, I am happy to share my travel itinerary.

There is already a large contingent from R20 being rallied by the indomitable Nick_USA (50+ at the last count!) so it's going to be quite a party.

I had a tantalising taster at Silverstone (not least with the wonderful Porsche infield parking - I lost count of how many cars were there - thanks to Narinder and co. for that) now I'm getting really wound up for the main event!

A few of us coming down from sunny Scotland for this as well. Village on the curves will be alive with Porschey people.
