Spring Run 2006 to Montreuil, France,
"The Le Touquet Trophy"

hotelphoto1.jpeg

The 2006 Spring Run will be held on the bank holiday Sunday 30th April - Monday 1st May 2006 to the wonderful walled French town of Montreuil. Montreuil is just inland from Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, about 100km south of Calais, and is perfect destination for wonderful classic driving roads through villages and forest, and along the coast.

Following the successes of the previous Spring Runs to Ypres and Reims, the Le Touquet Trophy will be a treasure hunt. Teams will navigate a route from Calais to Montreuil, solving as many clues as possible.  Dinner and a prizegiving will be at the fabulous Hermitage Hotel in Montreuil. Sunday will be free for a classic convoy to the beach at Le Touquet and a spirited drive up the coast back to Calais for the return ferry.

The price will be £260 per "˜team' of two people per car (we can arrange supplements for "˜extras').  This includes:
* Dover-Calais crossings
* One night accommodation in a double/twin room at the Hermitage Hotel in Montreuil
* Sunday night awards dinner and Monday morning breakfast
* Maps

Please complete the booking form and send a (non-refundable) £100 deposit payable to Stuart Downward by Friday 10th February.  (The balance must be paid by 24th March 2006.)  Entry will be on a first come, first served basis.

[&:] I would be well up for this but it is the weekend of my Sis birthday do in France and I will be going the other way once off the ferry. I will see what we can do..

What I can say is I have stayed at the big hotel for the weekend in Le Touquet called

" The Westminster " don't ask how much it costs cos I didn't pay.. but lots!!.. in side the french guy who owns it is mega!! in to British stuff and the walls are covered in Famous people who have stayed ( not me ) and he loves his racing cars.. there has been lots of car clubs stay there from the UK..

I think it's 600 euro's a night for a basic room.

But the roads to it are FAB!!!

I might have to rearrange my sis's birthday by a week..[&:]
