Leaded or unleaded? That is the question

Picking up very original 3.2 Carerra Targa at the weekend. Books say leaded or lead additive. Very well known dealer says unleaded. Uk spec car from 1985. Any advice please?

Also Mobil 1 as engine oil?

Thanks

Unleaded is fine - 911's had hardened valve seats for donkey's years before the 3.2 Carrera. However, I strongly recommend Shell Nitro, NOT for it's octane rating but for the lower bio-ethanol content which (at the 10% allowed in standard fuels) could play havoc with your fuel system.
I use Mobil 1 and have neither leaks nor excessive oil consumption on my 110,000 mile engine.

As Chris says, unleaded no problem.

There are loads of old threads on Impact Bumpers or Pelican on this topic...........

this is a common question and as Chris Hak [just thought what a name for a motoring writer] says these engines were built with hard valve seats, use high octane fuel allways your engine will thank you.
