leaking hood??

just got back from a short drive,it was raining but not mega downpours! noticed a bit of water on inside of hood, on closer inspection top of engine cover is quite damp!! checked drains etc all clear, is it the hood that needs waterproofing agian??
thanks in advance[]

You don't say how old your Boxsty is.
Check the rain drain channels again, and also the leading edge seal where the hood meets the header rail to check that is not perished.
It certainly would not hurt to re-proof, but given that the OE roof has a layer of neoprene in it is is unlikely that water is getting in due to saturation, unless there is a small hole in it somewhere.
Good luck!

hi rob, car is 986 1998, checked them all blown out quietly with airline, hood back up washed car, noticed a little bit of water from window in corner on passenger side[]

Is the window cracked ?

If not you may get away with reproofing the top, especially around the 'window frame'.

My personal recommendation may seem a little strange as it's a BMW product. My reasons why; It mixes in a bucket of water and is applied with a sponge, will not harm the paintwork (unlike the Porsche aerosol), gives a long lasting and consistent finish ie no patchy areas, and one bottle is good for two applications.

I have tried other products including Porsche's and the Raggtop one but this is the best one by far (May the Great Porsche God in the sky strike me down!!)

Oh sorry the product:
