leaking sun roof question where does the drain holes come out?

I had a leak on the sunroof of the project daily 944..

I have rodded out the tubes and they are infact clear..but both sides come to a sudden stop around 1m of tube ( rod ) down..

so it got me thinking are they covered over blocked in some way at their exit ??

as the car has had some black shultz sort of stuff on it I just think either the tube has a 90 degree angle I can't get round or the exit holes are covered and need uncovering. Either way I want to sort this for future buyer before new toy comes along. Currently have tape to stop water coming in.. looks tacky but is at least working.. very sad face. Roll on 996 [8|]
