Hiya, newbie alert...:)

Im assisting my pal with his poorly s2 cabrio. were bringing her back to former glory...

were trying to find somewhere in south yorkshire to retrim his blue leather seats...the seats are ok in a sense,..obvioulsy a bit worn but ok..and a characteristic of her age....but the white beading around the seats edges are very adrift and we're wanting to remove the seats and get new white beading put on to the old seats...

question is who and where...and so as to have some beer money left after...arf..:)

any help appreciated...were in doncaster/rotherham

Hello and welcome.

Beading is usually stitched into the seam around the edge of the seat, so replacing it involves removing the seat cover and re-making it ... and this aint cheap!

Southbound seem to be the Porsche trimmers of choice, although they won't leave you with any beer money at all. MJ Interiors are as popular in the VW world as Southbound are in the Porsche world, but are a bit cheaper.

Either way, I'm afraid it will be pricey.

Or look for some good secondhand seats.

Oli.
