'Linen' is the colour - a cream/magnolia normal leather, popular in the late '80s. Can show wear marks.

many thanks for that Oliver.
do you buy any chance know what the option code was on the late 80s cars for full leather was?
thanks again
steve

Steve,

According to Tony Corllett's book Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera, (page 64) interior equipment option codes were

Leather seats (M562) Full Leather

1984 +1850 +3950
1985 +1990 +4090
1986 +2130 +4380
1987 +2205 +4535
1988 +2300 +4715
1989 +2300 +4715

There were also additional code's for Customer leather.

I think these codes refer to the specification when ordering and therefore may not be reflected in your chassis code.

The same book (page 89) also states 'A great many trim variations were offered on the Carrera' and full leather finish included 'front seats and door panels with matching leather or leatherette for the rear seats'
