leather renovation

Guest

New member
Hi I am new to this forum, although not to 911 ownership, I've had my 85 Carrera for 10 years. The car is fitted with cashmere leather seats and |I have just finished cleaning the seats. Unfortunately the drivers seat is faded in places and is scuffed on the seat back bolster. has anyone tried the various leather dye/renovation kits advertised in Porsche Post and in the Classic car magazines.
The other seats are all fine having had very little use, but I want to try and get the drivers seat back to original colour and condition any advise on good products to use or advise?
Thanks
Paul

Contact Croftgate.com and ask if Eric is still there, last time I heard he was a director but he may have retired. He is a font of knowledge when it comes to leather upholstery.
Failing that try Southbound.

Cheers,

Paul,

Although I've no personal experience I have a feeling our local RO, Mike Pink, had tried some renovation stuff from Dynamix - they have an advert on page 146 of the current PP. I believe they are located in Ireland but sell through eBay (www.stores.ebay.co.uk/dynamixdyes according to the advert). For a DIY solution it might be worth a try before you consider spending mega bucks with the likes of Southbound.

Regards

Dave
