Leather seats

Hi

I`ve recently bought a nice low mileage 2005 Boxster S which I`m really pleased with. When I bought it I assumed the seats were leather but now I`m not so sure. Does anyone know if the car was originally available with cheaper seats as standard and that leather was an option (that most people specified) ?

Also are there any recommendations for the best way to clean the seats (assuming they are leather) ?

Thanks

have you tried smelling them??if they smell like leather they probably are[:D]

lots of good leather cleaning products out there from the usual suspects-ive tried most .autoglym seem as good as any.

Only the fronts on Porsche seats are leather, the sides and backs are leatherette, look under the seats to see what the reverse of the leather looks like

Use Gliptone Leather cleaner and restorer. It even smells like leather when you have finished. If the restorer does not soak into the 'leather' then it will not be Leather. Some seats are only leather around the edges at the front.....
