So are you guys ready, just about to start cleaning the car, once that's done I'll check fuelling and spark and adjust if needed ( got to try and reduce that black smoke at 100% throttle..lol) Oh and then I'll probably clean it again tomorrow, you know just in case a bug landed on it or something worse...[:)]

I know some of you guy's are travelling up from the south Friday night but if anyone is leaving London Saturday morning perhaps we could go up together, mind you I intend to leave about 6am , according to the satnav it's a 3 1/2 hr journey and I want to get there before 10.

I'm ready, just need to get car hot tonight to check oil levels - v complicated these beetles to check oil [8|][:D]
 
Should be interesting to see any differences from the dyno day last October, since then I have had a Promax chip and K&N air filter fitted, so hopefully I should see a slight increase.

Back then it was indicated that the results were a little less then expected complared to previous tests, personnally I found a 18hp drop in power (the dyno showed 190hp for my S2, the best of three on the day) over 19 years to be expected.

I think everyone's results where lower than they should have been that day although mine was down due to boost issues.

Perhaps the dyno needed recalibrating or more likely the wrong atmospheric setting were in place.[8|]

Am planning to be there 9.0 - 9.30 hopefully with future son in law, if hes up on time.

Oh and if mines over 140 I'll be amazed

I'm not sure when I'll be there, its less than an hour from me but I'm waiting on 2 protection caps to arrive to finish off one of the rear calipers, then its bleeding the brakes tonight when I get home. If everything is fine I'll be there nice and early[:D] Fingers crossed I haven't ballsed something up!

Hi Lee,
the recently aquired "secret" turbo i was bringing is still at Promax having engine work(nothing exciting just replacing knackered with new/refurbed) done,nearly finished but not quite ready and will need some running in before being subjected to a dyno...
So i will be coming in my pretty much standard black 1990 turbo,it has B.E and chips but thats it,it will have a new battery (being fitted as we speak) as it decided to pack in last night[:mad:],so will see you all in the morning bright and early,if you can squeeze me on earlier so i can slip off soonish back to Leicester that would really help with keeping SWMBO happy.
Looking forward to it[:D]

Porsche 911 would like to have a picture of all cars together
so I am guessing that will not be till around 10 to 10.30 ish
other than that come along, drink tea, get your car dyno'ed and
have a safe trip home.

Its already on and working well, but thanks for reminding me, I'll bring along the original unit too. Brakes are all bled, no leaks but the god damn battery is flat as a pancake so I've left a trickle charger on over night. Looks like I'll be bedding the brakes in on the way there........ [:)]
 
Are people allowed to come and spectate? I'd like to put mine on the rollers one day but really do not wish to push my luck on the engine LOL.
