Started on the flick of a key!!

So been on holiday for two weeks to Portugal - and left the car for 2 weeks.

Came back last night and this morning needed the car to go to work....

S checked the levels to make sure all was 100% tip top and it all was.. Flicked the key and she sprung into life.. Cant of even turned over more than once!.. No tappet rattle, no hesitation, no miss, nothing..

Perfect!!!!! Drove her to work and it was a pleasure - still so depressed that I need to sell her...

A..

p.s. Sorry a bit of a meaningless thread - but it just impressed me that there was no issue after being left for 2 weeks...

Mine have both run their batteries down over 2 weeks of not being used with the aftermarket alarms sapping power. [&o]

Mines the same now, I left it for at least a month when I was busy every weekend with work and it started first time I tried, the same can't be said for my 10yr old Astra though....

I've thought several times of selling mine. It was either sell it for next to nothing or get the engine totally rebuilt. In the end I did enough overtime to cover the cost of a rebuild and a new clutch - I sometimes wonders what I could have done with the money I spent - until I drive it and couldn't care less!

mine started ok, after 3 weeks, but the low battery charge did make the alarm go a bit haywire! as soon as started though, problem disappeared.
quick spin to towcester and back in the sun yesterday reminded me what a great car it is, but also of the niggly things i need to get sorted, that had become forgotten about without driving it!

Same here Ant and I was a bit worried because I'd forgotten to plug her into the trickle charger I normally use when I'm away. I needn't have worried though [:)] but I will admit she had a new battery a week before I went away
