Legs too long

Enquiring on behalf of my baby brother who has just bought a fine SC. Only trouble is that his legs are too long and the gear stick gets in the way when in 5th.

Are there any solutions to this problem without him having major surgery?

Does a short shift work for example?

There are a few short shifters on the market including one that prevents you slamming into to low a gear , the 'default' gate is 4th I think. Run a search on google. The B&M short shifter is tiny and sells for £39.00 from PORSCHESHOP
ask them to send you a catalogue. If you have any gear shifting problems remember that a short shifter may only make things worse.
