Just seen JS's article in the July 2007 issue of Porsche Post (pages 80 & 81), a good read on the trackday they all won at Donington, with some equally good photos from Rick & Belinda ..... including one of the 'Four' all airborne ... time for a caption competition methinks!

Thanks for your kind words Paul.

To put the records straight the levitation picture was by Belinda.

John - hi

Belinda of "long suffering" fame now properly credited above! Can she post up that picture here without offending the powers that be?

My caption :

"Is Big Air the consequence of too much Guinness?"

(you will need to read the text!)

Yes, well written John [:)] and it brought back fond memories

I can't remember if you have already publicly posted the 3 pictures that went wrong beforehand or if that was just a private showing in our email, but either way we have enough shining wits (please don't spoonerise [;)]) on here to come up with some funny slogans.

Let's hope we can get some 944s and 968s together again for the Goldtrack Silverstone evenings

The pictures were on private release prior to publication in Porsche Post but I will sort out the original set for forum enjoyment. They made me laugh even without captions.

Great write up John, wish I'd been there.

Your description of going a bit too quickly through the Craner curves reminds me that I did something similar there a few years back. After I came over the crest the (original) suspension compressed and as it extended again it literally bounced me a few feet further to the right of where I was intending to be. I landed just on the edge of the track, mighty close to the grass. It was an eye opener I can assure you! I certainly treated it with more respect after that [:)]

Yes excellent article, I finally got to read it - well done

Only complaint is I wasn't on slicks but pirelli corsas, I am sure I would have been even faster on slicks ;)
