Liber-T tag for France?

I have just fulfilled a lifetime dream and bought a 2015 Boxster S and loving it! My question is about the electronic tag for the pèage in France. On all my previous cars there was a clearly marked black dotted area around the rear view mirror for the placement of the tag, none on the Boxster. Is there any member out there who uses the tag and can advise me where this should be placed? A photo would be very helpful!

I had some difficulty with my (new) tag and it was also behind the rear view mirror. I find holding it up out of the window is the only way to guarantee it works each time... assuming you don't drop it of course ! [:D]

I am just back from France and it worked perfectly behind the mirror. I swivled my mirror to fit it and it was a bit tight when I put the mirror back to a position I had rear view so check before you stick it to the screen. Saves a lot of time and hassle. Watch out for the speed cameras! Note, I have a 987.

I am just back from Le Mans and had my tag behind the mirror on the nearside far enough away so you can still adjust the mirror.
It worked every time although I did get a bit close to the barrier on a few occasions before it lifted.
Mine is a 2015 Boxster GTS

Hi, I too need to fit my tag to a 991.1 which has no exposed black cross hatched area they recommend.
You all say "fitted behind the mirror”. Do you mean to the actual mirror case, or to the windscreen infront of the mirror.
thanks
Frank

Mine is on the windscreen just behind and to right of rear view mirror
it’s a 981S and it’s worked perfectly last two years

Been in our boxster 981S and boxster 981GTS - just behind the mirror on the nearside and it has worked perfectly (famous last words!)

Picture shows tag and dashcam hiding behind the mirror - tag is invisible from drivers seat

very pleased with it, this will be my first long trip.
cheers

Hey all Tag is working a treat. Le Mans classic done, tomorrow setting off for Route Napoleon and the Hautes Alpps in that area.

Just returned from 19 nights in France via Holland & Belgium into Eastern France (Troyes then Annecy) - did Route Napoleon in 2 stages - stage 1 Grenoble to Gap then stage 2 Gap to Grasse - section between Gap & Deignes les Baines via Sisteron isn’t worth doing so skip via the Autoroute. From their we stayed just outside of Cannes then marathon journey through Italy via Milan into Switzerland before crossing back into Alsace, France. Brilliant holiday - total 3,000 miles no problem.
