lifters

Hello from Ramstein, Germany

Have a slight clicking noise coming from what appears to be the hydraulic lifter or lifters .... 1997 Porsche 993 C4S

Just had an oil change with Mobil 1 0-40. The clicking was going on prior to the oil change also.

My question is: is this noise most likely one of the lifters and at what point should I be concerned about the noise.

Thanks to everyone in advance who provide me feedback.

I am headed to the Le Mans Classic on 10 July anyone elso out there going? Do you know if they have a specfic area to park your Porsche...or do you have to park in the general public area. I went in 2006 but at the time was not a Porsche owner but I did see an area with a couple hundres Porsches parked!

Maurice,

Thanks for your input. Sure not looking forward to having to replace all the lifters...

I just replaced part of the front suspension and bushings as well as all new brakes and rotors on the rear. Nice fat bill for that!
