Light Design Package - Ambient Lighting

Hi,

Does anyone have this option and confirm if the colours are interchangeable? I've specced this option and it says on the configurator there a 7 different colours.

I ask because according to my dealer it is just additional white LEDs across the centre console which are dimmable but you can't change colours. I'm confused if either my dealer is wrong or the Porsche configurator is misleading. [8|]

Thanks.

The Porsche configurator is not misleading. There are 7 different colour "themes" that you can choose. The option code is QQ2 (well it was on my order form summary from earlier in the year (in case it has changed since)). Shame about the dealers knowledge level...

Merry Christmas

Hi Keith,

Many thanks for your confirmation, the code is indeed QQ2 on my order form as well. Perhaps my dealer is getting confused because on their demonstrator car, which happens to be a 2019 992 Carrera 4S, they have Light Design Package on that, and it is just white lighting. So it looks as though Porsche made a change on the 2020 cars where they now offer 7 different colours. But you're right, dealer should know better!

It makes me feel better now though, as it seems more worthwhile in having it and brings it in line with the current times as regular manufactures offer this type of thing as standard. So is it just a case of going into the PCCM and choosing which ever colour you like depending on your mood?

PS - Thanks for the PM on the other topic, I will reply to you later on that. [:)]

Merry Christmas to you as well.

Indeed it is - from memory you get to it through Car > Control. It is very easy and there is page in the manual on it if needed - have fun!
