Spoilt my day big style it did!
On returning to my 996 4 S parked in the Exposition car park at Le Mans last week I noticed something amiss ,
Some scrote had stolen the nearside indicator repeater lamp which I hadn't realised till then that it just clips in.
worse was that it had been yanked out so it removal included the plug which left bare wires which had been carefully pushed back in behind the scenes.
AS if I wouldn't notice?,
so back home Ive replaced the lamp but main dealer or a specialist Porsche parts dealer can't find me the electrical 2 pin plug.
I know I can fudge it with some crimped connectors but I really would like to replace the exact component to keep my car absolutely true,
any suggestions or has anyone got the end of an old loom i can buy?
thanks in advance for any help

Welcome Simon!

How annoying! (To say the least). The Porsche PET parts catalogue shows a "plug socket" and "connector" for the side repeater, which are probably what you need.

You can get a PDF of the PET from here: http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/porscheservice/originalparts/originalpartscatalogue/

That's just horrible, May we all wish that disgusting person the worst health.

Its a £13 pound part? why would you have a 996 If you cant afford to go buy a part for that price.
Even more annoying that the plug will probably be tossed.

Maybe consider going the LED route solder the pins on the connector then fill with hot glue, Being LED hopefully your never need to touch it again.

Le mans 2008 had my side vent stolen off my 997 tt at a cost of £500 to have replaced and painted, and the car was parked in secure camp site[:'(]
