Light green met. 997C2S? Advice needed please.

Hi All

I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that I am going to splash out on a C2S later this year, and am planning colour choices.

I think the car looks excellent in the dark metallics, but I have seen a red one and that looked good. Then again, white is a possibility. However I have a "pet" colour that I like from the 1978-1980 Porsche 930, it is Lind green, which is a light green metallic. The Glasurit code is L275 Aux Y1.

Now obviously the only way better to kill resale values than buy a green 911 is to buy one in light green! However, I think it could look stunning. But, being a devout coward, I would like to see how it will look before going down that road.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how the car can be "mocked up" to see how it will look?

Many thanks

Manks,

I can't answer your question, other than to say you should have what you want and not worry about resale......however if you want a C2S this year you need to get a deposit down now; my Jan deposit gives Sept delivery and when the facelift details hit the press the list will hit 12 months overnight!!

New colour schemes will come with the facelift mid 08 - don;t expect to see any light green though :(

There are loads of pictures of unusual colours over on Rennteam.com...

Yes, I am aware of that. The colour is closest to Malachite, but malachite is a bit more pastel.

Incidentally, my OPC said that using an old Porsche colour cost £600 extra, but the configurator suggests £2180.
