Lighting issue

Hello all

Whilst giving the old girl a well needed airing the other day it was brought to my attention by a neighbour ( an ex police officer) that one front side light was coming on under braking. On closer inspection it turned out that I had no rear brake lights when the brake pedal was applied, just the one front side light ?
Finding this very odd I checked the fuses. All ok.
So, I removed all the light units and bulbs front and back, gave them a good clean and a little spray with WD40 and hey presto all works fine now.
A little weird, but hopefully a useful tip for anyone who runs into the same problem.

Would be very interested to know if anyone else has had the same problem and the cause .

Regards

I found this out 10+ years ago when parking my car in the garage and noticed the the side light was coming on when braking. Figured it out to be the brake light out. Great idea as you can't see behind you!

4 years ago now I changed all external lights to LED and the Dips beam to HID. Great kits from Bergville and quick to fit and no modifications to do either

HID's https://www.bergvillfx.com/index.php/products/t-light-hid-and-led/t-light-porsche-993-hid-kit-rennlist-discount.html
