Lighting Problems

Hi All. Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on a couple of items concerning lights. The first is that the backlighting to the Battery charge indication on the dash has stopped working. After thinking it was a simple duff bulb I purchased some new ones and after finding out how to take the dash apart (which I found a link on this forum to Renntech which was really useful!) I replaced them but to no avail. Have I missed something here? Could it be a fault on the printed circuit board and if so would it require a replacement one? Am at a bit of a loose end with this one.

Also I have had to replace the driver's headlight, which is ok in itself but after I had removed the light I noticed the frame on which it sits was loose. I have tried to tighten it but there is quite a complicated nut arrangement and is very awkward. Any tips would be gratefully received as now I cant drive it until the light is back in its rightful place! Thanks
 
If there is a problem on the circuit board, then you have to replace the whole cluster. Ouch! However, I think you might need to strip the cluster down to get at the bulb you need to change. Hopefully Tool Pants will be along soon - he's an expert on instrument clusters.

The workshop manual shows a method of reversing the mounting spacers to adjust the headlight mounting. If you would like details drop me an email and I'll attach it to a reply.
