Hi im Ciaran from Dublin .I own a 1991s2,ex uk was H56MCF,in case anyone knows it.Its my second both in cobalt blue ,1st was written off when a tree blew down on top of it andME...car totalled and off to the great scrapyard in the sky but I survived unscathed,due in no small part to the sheer strength of the roof and a frames.Anyway Ive a probem now ,pop ups come up and work and fogs but when I flash high beam everything flickers ,radio goes off general major power drop,including car surging,all in a split second.now I,ve also noticed one headlight bulb goes off when the high beam is switched on.it does not happen all the time !Its serious now car is sitting on my drive.HELP.Thanks.

I can't be certain, but my best guess based on previous experience is that the wires leading into the headlight pods are chaffing internally. The problem only seems to be when on full beam, so likely to be this wire.
This happens with age as the constant flexing with the up/down movement of the pods breaks them and causes them to chaff - often you can't see anything from the outside.
So, my advice would be, on the side that has blown the full beam/ headlight bulb, carefully slit/open up the wiring loom to the pod that feeds the bulb, see if you can get one prong of sharp scissors down the outer insulation.
Bet you when you open this up, you'll see exposed wires inside that are chaffing on each other/ sparking !
