Lights-On Buzzer

Could someone in the know advise if the lights-on buzzer was standard from the start of the 993, please?

The driver's handbook mentions it but so far I'm not aware of it working. To be fair, this car is still very new to me and I'm learning about it all the time, but wondered about this feature.

My early (1994 Model Year) 993 does have the warning buzzer. The sequence to test the buzzer is as follows.

1. Open door.
2. Switch on Lights
3. Buzzer will sound.

Please note, if the ignition is switched on the buzzer will not work.

It is a rather tinny, unpleasant buzz, but it does save you leaving your lights on.
 
Ditto - but a common problem is the door switch not working. Do your interior lights switch on when you open door?

The door switches are both OK so I will try the other recomendation.
