Lights playing up.

Just got back from Le Mans.

While there, it was pointed out to me that my NS brake light was out. I replaced the bulb and it was still out. Interestingly, though, with the ignition on and my foot on the brake, the FNS sidelight comes on. Anyone had a similar problem, or has my car just gone all French on me? (oh, it's a 98 C2)

Any views welcome before I take it to an autoelectrician.....

Sounds like it might be a bad earth somewhere. Also, light switches and ignition switches are prone to failure and giving these sorts of weird electrical problems when the internal contacts break up. An autoelectrician might be your best bet......
 
All fixed! You were quite right Richard - a bad earth to the NSR light. As I set off to the autoelectrician this morning the airbag light came on too. May or may not be related, but they've reset the fault code, and all seems to be as it should be.
