Lightweight 944?

I have just PM'd him on eBay pointing out the unlikeliness of this absurd claim and requesting that he show some evidence.
Well, honestly, you have to do your bit from time to time, don't you?

Yes - I thought about it too!
I have sent message to the guy with the 944 with a 924 lump in which he says is a 924S engine, but he says there is an edit at the bottom of PAGE 4!

Just to be pedantic Steel is an alloy - it's just not an Aluminium based alloy. So according to the strict letter of what he's written he's right, misleading as it is.

Because I love to scour E-Bay ( and buy sadly) I always enjoy and never cease to be amazed at some of the 944 advert claims and exagerations.
I try not to post them too often so folk dont think I just like picking but I just find some of them so ammusing and want to share the joy in a light hearted way.
The latest one you may or may not see is a car with " amazing history" that is ending soon. It apparently had its belts changed 14 years ago ! , well I suppose that is amazing, amazing the engine hasn't gone POP lol.

He has emailed back to say he is going to check it with a magnet, but it is what the bloke who sold him it told him ;)

One guy was advertising a 944 Turbo S when in fact itwas a Turbo SE with M030, i dropped him a message pointing out his error take what i got, he was absolutely adamant that it was an S, his local "Porsche Expert Garge" assured him it was.
He still would not have it when i explained the model differences [:-]
