Lightweight carpet set

https://www.btowstore.com/epages/Store_Shop835.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/Store.Shop835/Products/CS5128/SubProducts/CS5128-0001 any good?? Its Polyproplene and if you remove the heavy sound material underneath the current carpet that would be a weight saving..[8|] Go on just rip it out and get some earplugs[:D]

It's already ripped out Mark! Everything behind the front seats is gone! Getting a little tired of looking at the rough paint though, especially where the rear seat was. Paul, I don't need the front section so shouldn't be a problem.

Just got a message back from the comapny that make the carpet set I posted. They will not sell me just a rear half[]

Can't remember now, but am I right that it is a single moulded piece which runs along the side of the car, from the rear corner (where it effectively joins to the boot carpet) to the rear of the door aperture?

I don't understand this one. Standard carpets especially the front foot well section weigh hardly anything. The weight is in all the sound deadening pads. ISTR the total weight of all the carpets apart from the rear load deck carpet is only a bit more then the weight of the rear load deck carpet.

Opening at $300!? Jesus Christ on a bike! I made several sets of lightweight carpet out of far better material (coach trimming carpet), for a fraction of the price. There cant be $30 worth of material there...

Id offer to make them for people Paul, but Im too busy/slack: Im sure that people would be p*ssed off long before Id posted them. The same goes for polycarbonate windows..... [:)]

What colour of carpet do you need? I have just removed my cream ones and will let them go really cheap.

I need the one on the rear of the seat back in cream - mine had battery acid or something spilled on it before I owned the car and have never got around to it,
Let me know if you want to sell it separately,
Tony

I'm torn between cream and black, do you have the boot carpet and both side carpets? What else is there for the rear? Are they in good nick?

They were in good condition, I have put them up in the loft but will get pics at the weekend. The only problem with them was that some of the clips that hold the rear carpet to the back of the boot lid were missing but I assume that these are readily available from porsche. For the complete set of carpets front rear, boot, sides etc, I would be looking for £50.

Tony, I am not sure which one you are referring to. I sold my entire front and rear seats and from memory, the carpet on the seat back was bonded on so I did no remove it.
Cheers
Sandy

Hi Sandy, I think I've decided to go with black, thanks all the same. I'm sure you'd get some interest from somebody on here though?

Can somebody please confirm if the moulded carpet alond the sides of the boot is one piece per side or a single, joined piece? Thanks

Oh yeah I remember the boot carpet covers the rear panel, but what about heading forwards, are the pieces joined at all?
