Lightweight Flywheel

Has anyone gone for a lightweight flywheel? What experiences did they have and who did they buy from?

Also, how much does a standard G50 flywheel weigh in at and what weights are the lightweight options?

Cheers Fellas

I'll chip in, this isn't something I have done but was very close. Patrick motorsports do a light weight wheel. Probably great for spin up time to high rpm but some have said that it can be a right pain in traffic. With that I left it...

I know that lightweight can mean tricky for idle...... I have a Motec installed. Not sure if that means it can cope better or not.

The motec can certainly be used to stop the engine from stalling better than say the 3.2 or the 964.

I've often wondered too about a lw fw but as it seem to be something that would have to come from the USA I didn't want to spend lots of £ to find I didn't want it...

I'd be really interested to hear of some one that done it to a 915 3.2 carrera.

I know another option is to change the clutch cover for an alloy one. The G50's are already alloy IIRC.
