Hi all,
I am told the seats in my 95 C2 (boring grey leather)seats are quite/very heavy....can anybody confirm this,or know the actual wieght???
I am looking to change to lighter ones but cannot afford the porsche replacements that seem to be available.
Does anyone have any experience on what i could go for and where from.
Also do the bucket type tilt the whole seat forward so that you can reach in the rear of the car.
Ihave a roll cage fitted which do push against the standard seats(removable door bars).
Cheers Dan.

I can't answer your questions apart from confirming that I had to remove the driving seat from my 993 to replace the steering rack - it was incredibly heavy and I was amazed at the weight - mine are hard backed sports seats too.

I have Recaro SPG's in my car, I believe they come in three sizes? Mine are narrow and fit like a glove (13stone, 5ft 11") they are much more comfortable that the original sports seats (especially on long journeys) and are amazingly light.

I couldn't believe how comforatble they are, cause they look like they would be torture and have very little padding, but they sure as hell are better than OEM for my bad back.

I bought them off a PCGB member on this board for about £300 plus the pucker Recaro Porsche mounts, seats in immaculate condition. If that helps?

Cheers

John

Cheers Guys, will look into the Recaros,my wifes biggest concern was the comfort side of things,so i can put her mind at rest,it wouldnt be the end of the world to go for fixed buckets if thats the only option.
Cheers again Dan.
