Hi,
just wondering if the 996C2 has LSD??
my M3 had one which helps a great deal trying to put the power through just the rear wheels!
Is it an option?

cheers

Simon

Look on the build sticker in warranty booklet or inside luggage compartment. If a 3 digit option code of 220 or 224 is present, then the car has one. It was an option on std C2's

Unlikely.

On the GT3 and GT2 have them, with different locking factors under acceleration and braking.
It is not compatible with PSM, so they are not fitted to the standard cars.

Hi

Mine has options codes

220 Locking Differential 40%
222 Traction Control
224 Automatic LSD

Quotes .....
"Since all six speed manual cars (but not tiptronic S cars) have a supplemental mechanical, limited slip differential, switch traction control out and the new 911 drives as you would expect a rear wheel engined car with a mechanical limited slip differential with up 100 per cent lock up would drive"

So the answer is yes C2's do, but I presume only with the Traction Control Option

no traction control! (psm) so it looks like no lsd!
find it amazing that a C2 wouldn't have lsd as standard!????
