Limp/low boost mode

Hi guys,

My 944 225 turbo is only boosting to approx 2psi, I've noticed it after the turbo downpipe was removed for welding cracks and new gaskets all round. There is a slight chance it was doing this before though as prior to that I was just pootling around town in it so no hard acceleration.

Anything obvious that would cause this, specifically something that may be caused by the repair detailed above? Operator error or otherwise!

I've checked the visible vac connections and also around the AMAL valve. Also there are no obvious leaky sounds any more after fixing the turbo down pipe.

Thanks in advance,

Dunc.

Do you get any boost at all?

i.e. does it initially boost and then cut out and drop to 2psi, or does it simply never generate boost?

Thanks it's fairly easy to check that out by bypassing the gate with the boost line I think?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Dunc.

Dump Valve goosed?

All the Inlet manifold plumbing, Servo, ISV, Heater etc etc etc

Inlet manifold gaskets located properly

All inlet pipework Jubilee clips tight

I'd check the W/G is closed / seated first
