I mentioned the 2009 Lincoln Castle Rally during the meeting at the Dovecote today. Unfortunately, this event clashes with the next R4 meeting scheduled to take place during the Bourne Classic Show on Sunday 14th June. Most members who intend going to Bourne will understandably not be interested in the Lincoln event, but for those who may prefer a shorter transit if travelling from further north, or members who may be interested for the future, details of the Castle Rally can be obtained via the Lincoln Veteran Vehicle Society website at www.lvvs.org.uk

Thanks Cliff If enough people wqnt to do this we can arrange this as the meeting event as opposed to Bourne. I will call the organisor and see how many places left. Cheers

Elliot, I'm not suggesting we consider doing this instead of the Bourne event, just thought it might be an alternative for folks who may not want to travel as far South as Bourne. Personally we are happy with Bourne and gave our support to it at last Sunday's meeting.

Cliff I have contacted the organisor of the Borne Classic car show and it is now full to car owners so the castle event is probably a better option as this was something we wanted to do as a region anyway. Please if anybody has booked Bourne let me know as if there is nobody i will contact everybody and se if we can meet up for the Castle event instead. cheers Elliot Thoughts please other R4 members???

Elliot, Last week the LVVS web site was inviting entries. It now states that they 'have a full complement of vehicles'. Looks like we have been a bit slow off the mark here. Is anyone heading for Bourne or should we just have another meet at the Dovecote - or even a run out to Sutton-on-Sea? Cliff
