LITRONIC BULBS UPGRADE

GOOFY

New member
I have a set of pre 2004 Litronics on my car but I am not impressed with the light output from them, even though they look great and put out a blue tint. In fact a set of high power H7 bulbs from my friends car put out a brighter light on the road. I have had to resort to supplementing by using the fogs. Does anyone have a recommendation ?

Cheers

I have a similar setup. First time I used the lights (admittedly on a thoroughly wet & miserable night) I found it unusually hard to see the motorway lane markers. At the time I assumed it was a combination of the lousy weather and my lack of familiarity with the car, but it's interesting that someone else has had similar issues. I'll be interested to hear what others think.

Hi Andy

I'm going to purchase one of the aftermarket bulbs - Osram or Philips - I'll let you know the outcome !

Odd, I have original litronics and I haven't noticed any blue tint.
Are you sure that someone hasn't "upgraded" the bulbs to a higher temperature? The bluer they are the higher the temperature - but (confusingly) the lower the light output. 5K is probably what you want.
The litronics should tilt up to fill in the H7 main beams - are they doing this?
High output main beams will help as well./
