Litronic Headlights

The head lights on my 02 C2 are litronic / xenon and have been ok until the last couple of days. When swithing on they are taking about 2 to 3 seconds to light up and dont do the level check. Any ideas as what the problem may be? When already warm they do light quicker. Is there a central switching as i would have thought that if one is failing that it would not affect both.

Thanks

Spooky. One of my levelling motors started playing up on Monday, and refused to budge from the fully-down position. I took the light unit out, cleaned the contacts, and put it all back together, but no different. I was just in the process of tracking down a used motor when on Wednesday night, bingo! It just started working again.

There is a central control unit for the litronics levelling system. I did a diagnostic check on mine but it didn't show any faults. I can only suggest that you do the same, and hope it gives some clue as to what's going on.

You should be able to 'force' a level check/reset by switching the headlights on (they won't light) and then switch on the ignition. You should see them come up, and hear the motors.
