Litronic problem

Total new boy to the wonderful world of beautiful Boxsters. Hence my Boxster S tip has missed out on some TLC, but I mean to remedy that. Issue here, is that after carrying out the handbook checks on the Litronic system the nearside beam is not moving. Have stared into the bowels of the headlight unit but am at a loss as to whether this is one to give up on or whether there are further checks beyond fuses etc. that I can pursure.

Hi Kevin,

Have you ensured the seperate cable you had to unplug when you took the light out is reconnected? (this is Litronics only folks - not present on standard lights).
Another thing I experienced myself was the same cable (but on the drivers side) falling across the main connector at the last second when sliding the light back in, and preventing the connector from mating fully. All I had was a non-functioning sidelight, but take it all apart again and everything was perfect... Took a long time to work out what the problem was [:'(]

The light unit has been in and out a few times now and seems to engage OK with the Litronic cable snapped in place, but I will check this when I get home.

Regards

A quick update on this one. After twiddling with the connections and getting no joy I was returning from the Isle of Wight on Saturday night and lo, the Litronic system was working. I always thought strange things went on over there! One more down to experience.

Thanks for the replies.
