Litronics retro fit

can anyone advise if it is possible to retrofit OE Litronic headlights to my 04 C4S,

I'm not certain it would be an easy job with the wiring for the ballasts and headlight washers to consider.

(thanks in anticipation Richard[;)])

I'm not sure it is a practical option to retrofit a fully integrated system. Apart from the washers, there is the levelling system to consider. This has a control unit in the car, and sensors on the front and rear suspension.

For the pre-facelift, Porsche did a retrofit kit which had a simplified control system, but they don't do such a kit for the facelift. I would suggest doing some searching on renntech.org. I seem to recall seeing some posts about the re-wiring of the headlight connectors in the wings for litronics. If I beat you to it I'll post up some links.

Edit: Possible, but no level control or washers: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=8612

Won't upgrading with an HID kit (as many of us have done) give you what you are looking for, with much less cost than litronics ? Now only £105 from Alan of ace parts ...

Done that already with HID4U kit, just fancied the self levelling and wash functions

Hi,

Looked into this myself for my 03 C4S and it is not possible through purchasing the head units as differing connectors and the self leveling function. Over all the process of stripping out the old system and replacing with the new electrics is not viable.

Alan.

i got camtune to retrofit xenon units for £600 on my c4 while lights were FAR better i had cinstant battery drain problems which they never sorted out and which were still with the car when i sold it-just not worth doing beyond hid`s in my honest opinion.and sourcing and fiting litronics would they said be both very difficult and very exopensive(prob near £3000)!!why i specced my next car with xenons from day 1!!
