Can anyone recommend a local chips-away guy or similar?

I could do with some little bits doing here and there but had a bad experience with a chips away guy years ago.

I've heard they can be very good these days - if you get right one?

try this guy , his paintwork is absolutely A1 -

John @ Specialist cars has kindly offered the services at Malton - and very good they sound too..... though I'm still on the look out specifically for a local chips-away guy for the smaller stuff and when I'd like the work doing at my home... if anyone has used.

Or even from the North-West, South Yorkshire etc.

Thanks

I used a guy in Leeds - he was amazing! He removed a crease from the door of my wife's CLK in 1 hr. Cost £70. Ordinarily, it would have been new door time. drop me an email at john@9publishing.co.uk and I'll reply with his number when I find it.

Hi Kenny

Just had the wife's Fiesta done for a badly scraped and chipped front plastic bumber, usual 4x4 into the corner in the car park.
I used these people http://www.smartsolutionsuk.co.uk/index.html
They sent out a guy called Al Morley who fixed it in the car park at work (Leeds). If you look at the before and after example of the bumper on their web site in the repair examples, wheels and trim, thats about what I had done.
I can't see that its been repaired, and for £75.00 plus VAT.

Thanks David - they do look good don't they.

Will have a look closer at these next month I think, let you know how I get on.

Cheers.

I used Al Morley in the end for this and thought I'd report back with the good news.

Al has done an amazing job - the work was on the black metal door window frames, the bits that bubble up and flake on 993's. Al did the work this morning and it's now looking as good as new, very pleased.

Hi Kenny

I'm glad you were pleased. The problem with smart repairs is that the result is mostly down to the repairer not the materials. Its always a bit of a gamble but it seems that Al Morley is OK.
