I really want to get my car down to promax because i've heard many good things about them, but it's quite a long way for me (2 hours), especially on a 5000 miles pa premium! Does anybody have any experience with Zentrum or Merlin in Nottingham, Strasse in Leeds or 911 sport in Linconshire?

There are a few good ones in Liverpool/Manchester area, I think. Isn't NineMeister up that way?

5000 miles PA? As a good friend of mine who owned a kit car with a similar restriction once remarked, "It's a shame that the connection falls out of the back of the speedo so easily." [;)]

It is illegal to use a vehicle without a speedo, that is why I always have a spare in my 924S which can be fitted at a moment's notice.[;)][;)]

I've used Zentrum when I was working up in Nottingham - only used them once for something relatively minor, but found them excellent - ex-main dealer gone indy, great customer service, taking time to listen. Also very reasonable bill. Wished they were closer to home for me!

I have yet to Have work Done With Zentrum but have heard Good Things About them from other Porsche Owners ...I was quoted £600 for Cambelt, Rollers and Water Pump ETC...I hear that's Cheap?...
I plan on Using them when I get these Done

Normally use Strasse in leeds for our 911, great service, quick as well, bought cars off them in the past as well. highly recomended [:)]

I've only heard good things about Zentrum too. One of the ex 944 forum regulars had her S2 engine rebuilt there and they did a very good (if long) job on it.

Promax well worth the trip, they know Turbos inside out and see LOTS of them, very happy with all the work they have done on my cars, done to a high standard, well priced and look after your car as if it was there own.Set yourself a day out and book a courtesy car last time i got a grunty(3.2litre??) Audi quattro saloon lots of fun[:D]Whoever you decide on give some feedback of your experience, have fun with your car!

Ah yes that Quattro is a good drive despite its foibles, certainly a much better courtesy car than your average garage offers !

Zentrum are superb. I use them for servicing - well the major service at least. A pain to get to from where I am - I hate driving anywhere near Nottingham, the roads are rubbish and always busy. It seems to take you ages to get around no matter what time of day you travel. Anyway, i'd use them much more if I could get to them easier.
