Locking car without alarm?

You can diable the interior sensors (2 quick presses of the lock button) but that's it.
* I have found I have to disable the interior sensors on Car Ferries - otherwise the vibration when turning the ship around in port sets of the alarm (the plastic rear-window vibrates and sets them off). A long discussion with the Purser will then result where they show you the terms and conditions of travel that say you MUST turn your alarm off...[]

I'm going away for a week or so and I'm worried that if the battery gets low it may set the alarm off? Or is that not the case? The battery isn't exactly full of life and I was going to replace it when the car goes in for a service in June.
