I have a 1991 s2 cab and the central locking dose not work at all. i have striped the car down and tested the electrics at the doors and the switch and it has earths but no power. any help would be good.

Fuse?

Central locking control unit? (Hidden under the dashboard near the steering column.)

Central locking relay?

I had a similar problem until the other day although power was still going to my locks. In my case both actuators were jammed solid and the arms attached to them had snapped their clips off.

A quick trip to Porschapart and all is well again.

its not the fuse. and i cant find any refrence to a relay for the locks. however this control unit.i cant seem to find. looked around under the stearing colum and cant see it any chance of a pic to show that it looks like.

The relay sits in the fusebox, you can hear it clicking away as you open and close the doors.

The control unit is normally clipped onto the steering column under the dash, a little black box. I can only find a black & white picture and all that shows you is that it's rectangularish!!

remove the lid to the fuse and relay box and upend it. Inside should be a schematic of which fuse and relay does what and its number and position
