It is a short notice but if anyone is interested in doing a tunnel run this Friday evening with the Candy Run guys (some details below), then please drop me an email or post your interests/concerns[;)] here.

These are the details I have been emailed so far:

(Free admission) is scheduled for Friday 8th June 2007.

Arriving at Edmound Hally Way (Greenwich Dome Car Park) from 8.30pm, leaving around 10pm. More cars, more tunnels, more bridges. At the end some are going to a Nightclub, others, to the Sports Cafe in Haymarket and others just gassing about cars on Chelsea Bridge.

We bringing some motoring journalist and press who will ask to hitch rides, so will our Candy Girls.

I take it it was the friday just gone :( wouldave been a laugh

Yes, it was a good laugh...

Simon may share his photos and blog on everything that can go wrong went wrong for him; I didn't help, as I almost got him 6 points (allegedly, that is what he was threatened with) by doing a 3 point turn in front of a copper and he followed me, I got away and he got the lecture... apparently you can't do these on a busy or main road, even if you have missed the junction, especially the reversing onto a main road bit... oops! []

SunnyD got one of the Candy girls all excited in his Manthey GT3... [8D]

Sanjib gave us plenty of passive smoke from his clutch [;)]

Rod was a good boy and went topless all the way (his 996 not him!) taking in all the tunnel fumes [:D]

Good to have met David and partner; first time out with PCGB nutters, hopefully not the last [:)]

Who have I missed? [8|]

And the run down of my event hehe
Last minute decision to go had 10mins to get out the door
Followed Sun"I drive @ speed of light"deep to the dome
Stood Around and stared at the hired dolly birds, one of whom sat on my car
icon_biggrin.gif

Got lost in the first 15mins of the run
Pulled a 6 point turn on a major slip road
Tugged by the law because of it and threatened with 6 points (lucky escape)
Still lost anxiously driving around east London
Found the rally 1/2 along embankment
Parked up on Chelsea Bridge
Then realised my car oil gauge wasn't showing a reading!!!
Fanatically trying to find a garage that had some oil
Sundeep trying to fill the car via mobile phone light
Decided best to throw the towel in so missed out on the Night club
Had long martini when i got home

All in all a mother fecking rollercoaster of a night!!
Phoned JZM this morning they said not to worry about the oil if it start reading after a bottle few!!

Well, we are all grown ups here, so you can mentioned that with all these happening you had a bladder threatening to leak if you didn't find the little boys room soon; lucky for you there was the Battersea Park, full of trees (and public toilets) [;)]

I think i pee'd for like 5mins straight at battersea park

I was there too, but obviously nobody remebers me.

Was a really good night and nothing went wrong with my car, and I managed to find my way home even though I had no idea where I was.

Hi Paul,
Glad you found your way back home but you need to start getting publicity lessons from Simon to get a mention [;)]:
at Richmond meets he is after the waitresses; at Ace Cafe he runs after Vicky Butler (of 5th Gear); does the tunnel run on low oil and full bladder; he is best mates with the co-founder of Sunny-D; he gave Olaf Manthey his beard; he is also the Stig on Top Gear...

Yes! See Saturday, 21st July meet (link below), this will be our East London day for the club members; and members can bring whatever car they like (we had an Aston Martin last year giving a bit more noise variation in the tunnel):

But will you hire some models, if you do dial down the plastic content [:D]

Simon, I'll leave such hiring in your capable hands and sorry can't reimbuse you from the regional funds; this will be purely a good deed you will be doing for the team. Thanks in advance.
