Just back from a 900 mile in 24 hr trip from newcastle to wales in my 89 930 5 spd.
The old girl was faultless! 90 mph cruising plus some welly in the welsh mountains.
Average fuel consumption over 30 mpg and half litre of oil added! I was thinking of trading
up before but ive got all the fun factor and reliability even better economy than i expected.
Any new car will have to wait till i can afford both! They dont make em like they used to?

I just got back from a 2000 mile round trip to the south of France in my 930 89 Turbo 5 speed to.
Like yours it performed perfectly "" needed only a cup full of oil when I got back and I think the journey done it the world of good. I was amazed at my fuel economy and oil economy (which I don't really understand given I typically put 1lt per 1000 miles into it).
It is so fast, so smooth, now I am just waiting to see whether I ever crept over the 130KPH figure [:)]
It is a perfect car, once in the south, had the roof down all weekend "" it was bliss and I did lots of touring around which was great.

Hi Dean,
Good to read your reply! These cars are still among the best all rounders especially the 5spd.
To all owners i say "Use it or Lose it"! The more longer runs the better!
