Longer steering wheel boss

Is it possible to get a longer boss for the steering wheel to bring the wheel closer to the driver?

I have a Momo steering wheel (not sure which one), FWIW.

Chop your feet off and move the chair further forwards.

Has the same effect and is much cheaper. (And saves a fortune on shoes.)

All manner of sizes are available, made by Sparco, Momo, OMP etc; as well as Chinese products on eBay.

James,
You can get Momo spacers to fit on their steering wheel boss but they are only about 15 mm deep - a small increase in length.

the 'ektor' ones are particularly nasty !
Very true. I bought one to fit a Momo wheel to my S2, and while it fitted it was abysmally badly made. I sent it back, claiming it was 'unfit for purpose' and got my money back.

Avoid. Like the plague.

Thanks chaps. Are these spacers easy to fit? I have never taken a steering wheel off - in fact I have never done most jobs I suspect I will have to do in the coming months ;)

Hi James,
I've sent you an email. I have an 'as new' matt-black anodised Momo 50mm extension boss in the garage.
Drop me an email if you're interested.

Cheers,
Rich

i would avoid any of the cheap ebay bosses - i went through 3 different types which were all rubbish before i eventually bought a proper momo one. the 'ektor' ones are particularly nasty !

These are a machined alloy extension Mark. You screw them to the boss (if it fits [:D]) and you screw the wheel to the extension. You use them to bring the wheel closer to you, raher than to adapt a wheel to a particular car.
