Out on a Classic car run starting in Moutbellew Co.Galway last sunday when the group was halted outside Claregalway.. This young cub came and knocked at my window and announced that "My grandad has one of them"... Well I said whats your grandad's no....? I rang the fella after the run and went to see the car.... What I found was a 1987 US Spec 944S in Zermatt Silver with black 1/2 leather interior.....[

I was amazed as I thought that I knew where all the 944's were. The car belongs to Matt who worked in the States for years. Hes in his late 60's and moved back from the US 3 years ago. The car was originally from South Carolina but Matt found it abandoned in an underground carpark in New York. He found the owner and managed to get the car off him. He cleaned it up and used it. He transported it back from the States in a container and registered it here. It has 98k miles and is in great nick.... Matt is going to hold on to the car as he says he really enjoys driving it....
